Beginners workshop on Generative IT for NFPs. 2 PM session

  • Community Waikato 935 Victoria Street Hamilton, Waikato, 3200 New Zealand (map)

Presented by Alan Chew and Houston Technology

Generative AI is a form of AI that understands and generates human-like text.

It can engage in conversations, answer questions, generate pictures and provide assistance on various topics.

The most high-profile example of Generative AI is ChatGPT. Released in November 2022, the free technology is now used by over 150 million people. No other software has had that rapid rate of adoption.

This is because ChatGPT is based on natural language. Even someone who has never before seen or used the software will be able to use it with just less than an hour of training.

The range of uses for Generative AI is unending. Alan uses it to save him at least 30 minutes a day on average.

Come to this Introduction to Generative AI Workshop to:

  • Find out what Generative AI is.

  • Understand the differences between the two versions of ChatGPT and MS 365 Copilot.

  • Discover what NFPs can use the tools for.

  • Get hands-on training on how to use them.

  • Recognise what the limitations and risks are.

  • Get answers to your questions during Q&A.

Workshop requisites: Bring with you a laptop with ChatGPT (Free or Paid version) and Microsoft 365 Copilot (optional) ready to use with ability to connect to Community Waikato’s free Wi-Fi.
