The Treaty of Waitangi. What does it mean for you & your work?

Bringing the Treaty to life for professionals & citizens.
Knowledge of the Treaty of Waitangi’s intentions and implications is now required in many workplaces & professions.
This one-day workshop provides in-depth training & resources in a marae setting.

Participants will learn about:

  • Maaori-Paakehaa relationships from 1800s to the present

  • What the Declaration of Independence & Te Tiriti o Waitangi say

  • How the Treaty agreements apply to you personally and professionally.

Who should attend?

  • Anyone from a small workplace with no regular Treaty training

  • All those wanting to update their training portfolios

  • Newcomers with little or no knowledge of the treaty

  • Employers needing to meet quality or contract standards.

Participants receive a Certificate of Participation, posters, handouts and a copy of the informative resource ‘Treaty of Waitangi: Questions & Answers’ (2018).
