This workshop will cover a range of Board Roles and Responsibilities.

Whether you're an experienced board member, a committee participant, or new to the role, this session will equip you with the knowledge and tools necessary to manage your governance responsibilities.

We will discuss:

  • The primary functions of boards and committees in strategic decision-making and oversight.

  • Legal and fiduciary responsibilities, including duty of care, loyalty, obedience and financial oversight.

  • Best practices for effective communication and collaboration between boards, committees, and operations.

  • Strategies for setting clear objectives, defining roles, and managing conflicts of interest.

  • The importance of diverse and inclusive governance.
