Legally Compliant Processes to Manage Performance and Behaviours

Presented by Stefan Doll and Diversity Institute

Via Zoom

What do I do when the performance or behaviours of my staff member is not acceptable our numerous conversations did not result in significant long-term improvements? What do I do if someone has a lot of great attributes but is just not the right fit for the job?

In this online workshop you learn how to conduct a fair, reasonable and legally compliant process. The processes are designed to allow your staff member to change and meet the standards and expectations of the job. Failing that, the processes also allow you as manager to introduce consequences like written warnings and dismissal.

Naturally, managers are shying away from following through with consequences which often makes their job and the jobs of the other team members a lot harder. As a result, your best people in the team resign, you struggle to build a good work environment and cannot deliver as a team as other team members adjust over time to the lowest accepted standard.

Key learning outcomes

  • Act with confidence, set reasonable expectations, standards and timeframes and stay within the relevant employment legislation.

  • Use the provided templates and tools to conduct legally compliant performance management processes.

  • Conduct procedurally correct disciplinary meetings.
